Liberton Association Volunteers Meeting

6th May 8pm @ Liberton Kirk Halls

As you are aware there is a proposed planning application to build on some of the green belt areas of Liberton. It is important that the Liberton Association is organised and supported to review this potential application. Some of you offered your help at the recent meeting on the 23rd March 2019

We are therefore inviting you to attend the above meeting and asking if you are able to offer help with the following groups:

– Advertising group
– Planning applications group
– Distribution groups (leaflets and posters)
– Social media group

We have identified leads for the above action groups and need volunteers to assist them.

We also need volunteers with knowledge or expertise in the following areas:

– Planning
– Strategic Planning
– Government/ Council
– Engineering, Buildings
– Traffic
– Biodiversity and Ecology
– Infrastructure
– Law
– Local History

Please come along if you are able to offer your support.

Unfortunately I am unable to attend the meeting on 4 June 2019. Is there any way of recording my objection to this Planning Application and the proposals to encroach yet again on what remains of our green space, ie is there an Association objection being lodged or is it better for everyone to record their objection individually.

It is turning into a constant battle with these developers and it gets very tiring having to object to every application which is raised.

I have already notified Ian Murray MP of my objection as part of his campaign.

Please advise me on the best course of action and if you need help folding leaflets I can offer my services (mobility issues make things difficult but I would be willing to help if I can).

    Good luck with the AGM.

      Hi Carol
At the moment, no application has been lodged by the developers, but we’re keeping our eyes peeled….
If anything happens urgently, it will appear first on the Liberton Association Twitter feed, and on Facebook – this is quicker than posting to the website. Links to the Twitter and Facebook pages are on the top right of the website page (bird icon and F icon)
