The closure of Mayfield Road at the Liberton Brae junction is nearly over, after over 2 years! The road first closed in January 2022, with an original closure panned for 12 months! Signage indicates resurfacing work should be finished by the end of the 19th November!

The Southern end of Mayfield Road has now reopened in both directions. Some resurfacing work has been done. This junction, unfortunately, remains the only major arterial route junction in South Edinburgh which lacks a full pedestrian crossing sequence.
