Winter’s here – pavement gritting
The winter is upon us, and that brings challenges in addition to those we’re already facing. One simple way to help out is to make sure that the area has enough functioning grit bins so that grit/salt can be spread when and where needed. If you see a broken or empty grit bin, you can report this to the council via the following link:-
Please do not take grit for use on your own property. It’s needed for public pavements as a priority.
Grit and/or sand can be bought from most DIY stores, but a cheap source is dishwasher salt if you can’t find anything else.
